In the last six months, I've spent countless Net hours on the 'information highway' reading the travel accounts of those who've been where I am going.
Sifted through hundreds of travel sites and official country destination sites, all with glowing descriptions of 'absolute must sees!!' Looking for information which is specific to the needs of a woman travelling solo and independently. And of course having to make the inevitable itinerary changes when I hit speed bumps. Thank god for an ever-patient, much-travelled and knowledgable travel consultant.
The latest glich involves the tourist visa for Costa Rica. Unlike the 90 day tourist visa a lot of other South American countries give, CR only give 30 days and must sight an exiting plane ticket within that time frame. I've planned to stay for 7 weeks, as there are some things I really want to do there.
Some travel bloggers suggest hopping across the border into Nicaragua or Panama for 2 days with re-entry into CR automatically giving me another 30 days. So far, so good.
Now the departure date on my plane ticket needs to be sorted in a way that won't cost to make the change/s.
So, Robert of STA Travel, stay right where you are, because here I come again!
