Gidday to my country cobber
Well mate tis good to see one of you mob finally got over to gods country! Dont hang around the uni all the time sonshine geddoudathere!! Aussies a bloody ripsnorter of a spot mate have a gander enjoy yourself and tell yer ol man Shane said gidday from the mudpile south of you Cheers!

Awesome pictures! Sounds like a mahvelous orientation. I can't wait to see more - I think the Mt. Abrupt pics are my favs. Careful approaching those kangaroos - they can really hit hard with those powerful jumping legs when brassed off.

So far, so good, huh?! Thanks so much for the long, expansive blog entry with the pics and funny stories. I can easily imagine you doing the Roberto Benini gag, and the bike purchase sounds like a good one as long as you take your time with the traffic and ride very defensively (remember when Alice got in a bike accident in Jackson Hole?) That phone call on Sunday was great. Margaret loved walking and talking on the Beach in Ipswich while you were half a world away. She just wishes I'd had the camera so I could have taken a picture of her on the phone to send you. Always thinking of posterity, that girl! Onward and upward! LA, D
