Its a been a while since the last blog. Im actually thinking, now I mean seriously thinking, about changing blog sites. Hold on you say? Don't be so foolish I hear! Has he forgotten the people that made him famous already says Cleve(typical). Has the male modelling career he should have had such a long time ago but things didn't go his way finally took off. Well, hold on I wont, foolish I shall not be, no Cleve I remember the people, and maybe on the modelling career but that's not it yet. This is a travel blog and our travels have ended a while. Yesterday we received our Permanent Residency, yes you read correct (I'm pretending we didn't already post it on Facebooky yesterday and you are all pretending you didn't like it). So before ... read more

So, this is it. After a few minutes of considering what to write Mat gave me a big cuddle and said "I'm scared" to which I responded "me too". Traveling has been our way of life for the last six months; unpredictable, encapsulating, educational. We've had so many highs and some lows in there too, which we have learnt are just character building. There have been some national tragedies along the way which, at times, seemed to be following us. I said to my Dad last night "we've been pretty unlucky" to which he replied "no, you are the lucky ones." He is so right of course. People said you will come back changed people and I was dubious, they were right too. It will be very hard for us when we return to not always ... read more

Nar then! Im writing this blog on a very turbulent flight from Cairns to Perth, so please accept my apologies if my writing is a bit wonky ;-) We last blogged in Airlie Beach, which already seems an age ago. Everything seems like a distant memory when you're traveling around, even if it's only a few days. We made our last long bus journey to Cairns, an overnight one so it wasn't too bad... Apart from the fat bus driver who decided to talk every half an hour through the night. Safe to say we're happy to have no more bus journeys for a while!! We arrived in Cairns and headed for our hostel, which was also the last hostel we have to stay in! See the trend? We explored the centre of Cairns and found ... read more

Hi All, We arrived safe and sound yesterday at around 10am UK time, but it was 5pm here. Pretty bumpy flight but easy to get through really with the amount of movies you can chose from, and it was lovely to be met with a big hug at Perth airport from Auntie Marie and Uncle Terry. We were really tired though as we only managed about 2 hours sleep each on the journey - leading us to sleep in until 12.30 on our first night - that was after having woke up at 3am and being wide awake for 2 hours though! Seems it might take a bit of getting used to... So after our late start we decided to stay local to Auntie Marie and Uncle Terry's house in the Bateman suburb of Perth, where ... read more

Well I have only lived in Fremantle for nearly a year and I am finally going to let you all into my world with me and my man Jay from WA. Holly was waiting for me when I arrived back from the UK which was nice. The weather here is not quite sitting on the beach all day kind of temp. But what the hell we headed of to Coogee beach of Hollys first long walk on an Aussie beach. Holly choose to walk with her feet in the sea, she was alot braver than me as I dipped my toes and that was enough for me yes the water is still fresh. We walked all the way to the yacht club and back which took around 2 1/2 hours, by which point Hollys feet were ... read more

Saturday 26th July... Not a great night. Gav's sore throat resulted in awful snoring. I ended up in bed with Jack again. Woke up 6.40am to Joe calling 'Jack'. Jack asked Joe if he wanted him to get him out of his sleeping bag, which Jack usually obliges, but got distracted so I did it. Gav slept till 8, but he does feel a lot better today. This morning we went to Heathcote Park, to a fantastic Pirate Ship playground (which cost about £1m to build). Jack was SO excited when he saw it, he could hardly contain himself. His eyes were alight with the fun to be had. The kids ran amok for ages. We admired the beautiful setting of this park on the banks of the Swan River with views to the skyscrapers of ... read more

Sunday 20th July... We landed about 2pm but it took us a good hour to get through luggage and customs, as the Beagles were giving us a good sniffing. They were quite interested in our bags for some reason the customs guy couldn't figure out, as I then unloaded the jars of Peanut Butter and Marmite I was smuggling into the country (they still let us in though - it wasnt that really, they are after fresh produce which we didnt have, so it must have been Gav's natural fruitiness distracting him). Adam was waiting with Flynn & Luca and the kids bonded by throwing Jacks rabbit around the airport floor whilst we sorted our hire car out. I was rather alarmed to find out that the Hire Car turned out to be the most ridiculously ... read more

Travelblog “Friendship isn’t just one thing. It’s a lot of little things” I have realized both through reading some of the weekly journals I send to my teacher and old blogs (one of which I want to apologize for- it was meant to be private because it was just me griping.) that I have become irritable. I used to be laid back and easy-going. Not too much annoyed me. Once my brother and I grew up, I feel like I started letting more things go and stopped letting petty things bother me. But over the past several months (before I came here until now), I feel like I’m reverting back to that. I don’t want to be that person again. You have to trust me. I was such an unpleasant, moody person and I can’t believe ... read more
