Hi all
Today we drove up the motorway to Burns Beach, north of Hillarys Boat Harbour, for a night. It is a pretty spot, near where Rick and Sue are staying. Our van is a stone's throw from the beach. Tomorrow Rick and Sue will come with us south to Busselton, where we will base ourselves to explore the south west with them. They will get a cabin in the caravan park.
This week we did a bit more exploring around Perth, including Kings Park, Swan River, North west beaches and drove around some of the more expensive areas. We took a drive 100km east to historic York, the oldest inland town in Australia. Another day we explored the Perth Hills and Mundaring Weir, which supplies water by pipeline to Kalgooli.
Our car has been serviced, and Chris has polished it and painted the tyres, so it looks great again!
We received the shirts Big 4 sent us as promised as yet another reward, so Rick took some photos of us wearing them for them.
We are finding Perth a very easy city to drive around. It has great motorways, arterial roads, and ring roads. The parks and gardens are public ammenities are excellent. There is very little evidence of graffitti or vandalism. The many new bike/walking tracks are well used, especially the ones beside the beaches.
Cheers
Lynne and Chris

Perth and pics
Hi guys - we really appreciate receiving your trip history and looking at the great pics. There are many that I would like to paint. I was at a pastel workshop all weekend, while Phil and our son, Glenn, were competing Sunday morning in a mini triathalon as a team - friend Ray did the swim leg 300m; Phil cycle leg 12kms or 5 laps of a circuit on a closed road; and Glenn picked up a few places in the 3km run leg to bring the team home 4th overall - which was 1st in the teams section - a good result. We have been looking at all your pics and comments of cycle tracks everywhere and are keen to get organised to set sail or drive around the countryside again. EZIBEAT is coming on well and waiting now until March/April next year before launching - after the current cyclone season. Happy travels. Regards - Jill and Phil Harkness

Fabulous Perth.
So great to see all the places we went in and around Perth. We visited York also and sat virtually where you are sitting in the photo. Yes the gardens and parks are fabulous in Perth aren't they. Super to see Rick and Sue with you too. Enjoy Bussellton, it's a great spot to travel around that area. Love the shirts! Cheers X

Good to hear from you
I have got some paints and have been inspired to paint some of the great scenery too! The colours in some places are amazing. Don't know when we will make it back to the Sunshine Coast, but hopefully before winter next year. Cheers, Lynne and Chris
