This morning we left Albany behind and took the scenic drive along the coast to Denmark. The drive into Denmark reminded me of Dwellingup as it is a picturesque setting among the bushland.
A drive towards the coast landed us a gorgeous little spot for lunch right alongside the Denmark River with Wilson Inlet only a few hundred meters away. Perfect for a picnic it was surrounded by walking trails but as we were unsure of this afternoon's destination we pushed on.
Off the main road we headed to a little place called Parry Beach which provided a shire (council for you South Aussies) run camping grounds. Not exactly a little secret as it was nearing capacity; however, we managed to find ourselves a secluded site. Barely big enough to park the van we set up for the day with only trees, native plants and blue sky around us. At $10 a night with showers and toilets we were onto a winner.
