7-11-09 We woke up to a great day, no wind & we are leaving, the temp is to be a perfect 26 deg , we left early & went the coast road, & turned off to go to Port Gregory, a beautiful place we will have to visit again. A sleepy little fishing haven with a beautiful beach & a Lake known as The Pink lake. We had a cup of coffee at a lookout & no joke the lake went from Pink , to blue, to green , amazing. The Pink colour comes from Bacteria that provides a rich source of Beta Carotene, it is trapped in the salt granules of the lake & gives off the pink colour. From there we went onto Northampton, a town from yesteryear , it reminded me of Berry NSW but more historic, all the old buildings, very interesting. We then went onto Coronation Beach, camp site 407 WA, $10 per night, a beautiful spot on the ocean. We set up , there are 21 sites & all are private, a bit like Quobba but not so windy ( so far). We went for a walk along the beautiful beach, but there was a
lot of bluebottles, so I hope they go soon. We are here for 2 days or longer, it is just beautiful. We had to keep the girls out of the water & when we got back from the beach I had a sunbake & den set up the Satellite Dish. He has gone fishing & I am doing my diary & photos. We don’t have phone reception till Geraldton. So will contact all soon.
8-11-09 Well what will we do today, We started with a walk on the beach, no blue bottles today. The girls had a big swim & we had a long walk. Back at the van we had an easy morning & we decided to get the Cobb Cooker out & have a baked dinner for tea. Den watched the V8’s on TV, I had a nanna nap & then we went for a walk up to the Wooden Lookout where there must have been 20 Windsurfers on the water, it was spectacular & looking at them as the sun was setting was magic. We went back to the van & had tea, we are driving into Geraldton to do shopping etc, so may be able
to send this blog when I get there. We have decided to stay here for a few more days.

All Jessie needs is a beer in the cup holder of her chair!! Very cute.
Dear Kara & Brett, Dont laugh but if Den puts his beer down & she can reach it she is right into it, dont know wheather she takes after me or Den. I think she is enjoying this life she has now, although we took then for a walk today when we got onto greenough & they both had a lovely time rolling in the grass, which they had not seen for a while. lol Luv SFA & SFU & SFD's xxxxxx
Hi Shelly & Dennis,
Keep the diary flowing... it's brilliant to hear the details of your journey and feel that we are experiencing it too. The trip sounds like your both enjoying your experiences and this wonderful country.
Cheers
Warren & Robyn
Will keep the Diary & journal coming, it gets a bit hard sometimes, it interferes with Happy Hour. LOL, ha, ha.
