We did not want to drive too far today with our dodgy wheel.
Bob and Tracy are going up to Mungo, but Steve and I are taking the van into Mildura to wait until tomorrow (today is a Public Holiday)to see if we can get it fixed.
We only drove 27kms and found a lovely van park on the banks of the Murray.
When we got in, I looked under the van and noticed the problem - the big piece of metal attached to the wheel has torn and is almost snapped. We took as much out of the van as we could to relieve the weight off the wheel and hoped that it would hold together long enough for us to drive it to a repair shop. We cannot do anything today, as everywhere is closed.
Steve and I have always wanted to go on a Paddle Steamer, on the Murray River. We were very fortunate to be able to do just that this afternoon. The sun was out and it was a beautiful afternoon. We had a lovely 2 hour cruise on the Murray. We thoroughly enjoyed it.
It was a lovely and relaxing
day today.

amazing
what you can find in the middle of nowhere. Lovely to get a ride on a paddle steamer.
