Travelled from Berri, SA to Mildura, Vic then crossed the border to NSW to the RiverGardens Tourist Park in GOL GOL, NSW. Three states in one day!!!!!!
This park is a small park right on the Murray River - just gorgeous so we booked in for 7 nights for $150 (1 night free so saved $25).
Thursday 30th June
Went for a tourist drive around Mildura and found Loch 11 just as the paddle steamer the "Melbourne" was coming through the loch - it was quite exciting seeing the loch gates open the the steamer going through. We are going to go on this steamer on Monday for a ride up the Murray River.
Went back to have a sausage sizzle on the free BBQ at the caravan park then sat by the Murray River to eat it. Just a beautiful setting for lunch again.
Found plenty of road side stalls with oranges etc for sale - bought fresh oranges, mandarines, butternut pumpkin and free range eggs.
