Dear everybody
Sydney.. once again.. this time more awesome, including beachwalks, adventures at the botanic garden meeting some old friends again and ofc Stereosonic as afterparty for traveling the East Coast/preparty for Melbourne, the outback, Uluru etc…. two words; 14 letters..; F*CKING AWESOME, he made me even more happy with some hardstyle:D!!! Good weather, good company, good atmosphere, good music, crazy crowd, all acts did a pretty good job, with as final act our dutch pride tiësto.. All I can say, he was from another planet for real, amazing!!!
After that it was time to fly to Melbourne, a nice city, more European, felt good, definitely a place I could stay for longer. There is this cultural vibe around here, interesting buildings and such. Xmas is already getting started around here, but they don’t celebrate 5
th of December so.. it’s weird to hear Xmas songs while 35+ degrees, but what can I say, life is good:P We wandered/cruised through the city, went to Victoria Market, the botanic garden, the beach, the shopping district, the exhibition centre (I am so going to come back here one day:P), we have seen the highest building of the Southern Hemisphere, so I have
been told (not so interesting compared to HK, but still), the Australian football stadium, the graffiti street (real pieces of art sometimes, pretty awesome!), pinguins at the beach and more interesting statues/buildings/thingies.. Although the beach is nothing compared to even the worst beach in Sydney, cruising through Melbourne and along the beach on my new baby Mary Jane together with Joost was pretty nice😉
Then the time came to continue our travels to come back in Melbourne.. We flew to Alice Springs, and wow.., if u think u have had a warm or even day somewhere, go to Alice Springs/the Outback, shiiittt, that’s H-O-T!! In AS all we did pretty much is chilling at the pool with a cold beer in our hands 😊 watching a movie at the tvroom, eating pancaked (FINALLY:P) and getting ready for our Outback trip. We experienced a rough thunderstorm, I haven’t experienced a lot of these in my life, pretty fascinating.. The Outback is different; desserts, mountains and nothing civilized except for the road sometimes for hundreds of miles.. we visited awesome sights, especially for me as a geologist, things like Kings Canyon, Kata Tjuta, Uluru and flinders Ranges with the Dutchman peak:D
were very interesting. We did some climbs, hikes, swam in a waterhole in Kings Canyon, watched sunsets/sunrises over Uluru and everywhere, we slept in swags (just sort of a big sleepingbag, in the open air, with sometimes a soft breeze through our hair, under/watching the stars:D) We also visited Coober Pedi, Opal town of the world, situated mainly underground (also our dorm😉) Here we watched the sunset enjoying some champagne and pizza, and went to a kangaroo orphanory? Where I fed and cuddled a kangaroo, yey:D they just are cute, what can I say:D On our way we drove through the real outback with nothing but cornfields, mountains or desserts, containing just a few trees, a number of huge saltlakes and some crashed, burned out cars in the middle of nowhere. During this trip we saw real road trains, wtf, trucks with X trailers banging the roads.. just because it’s possible, and then in Holland they keep on annoying you with those rules about length limits, shiiiit.. We also a variety of wild animals like camels, eagles, cows, horses, wallabies, kangaroos, lizards, spiders, a shitload of bugs/fliessometimes and also some rare birds. After 6 days of heat (35+ most of
the time) in dessertlike sort of regions, and over 2000 kms! we drove down South towards the OCEAN:D, to Adelaide, but not before we stopped at a winery for some Australian winetasting.
After a few nights in Adelaide, recovering from our trip and basically doing nothing it was roadtrip-time:D!! Joost and me planned to do this with the smallest (read cheapest:P) car available, though we ended up with some girls from the Uluru trip in the most luxurious campervan/mobile home or whatever you call it.. Btw guys, there is a thing you need to know when you are about to do some traveling, girls will always be able to make better deals than you, that’s just the way it is, deal with it.., or use it:P anyway relocation, that’s the word you need to look for when you need a car, we had a good deal and an awesome time in our mobile home, the biggest we have seen on our roadtrip:P with oven, microwave, bbq and soundsystem outside, electric stairs and more fancy stuff:D With this piece of awesomeness we drove through the Grampians National Parc with its waterfalls and awesome scenery and over the Great ocean road,
along the ocean, bells beach and the famous 12 apostels on 12-12-’12 and did some hikes/walks yeaaah:P But as all good things, this roadtrip also came to an end and now the time of reality came, the time that I need to find myself a job, so wish me luck..?!😉 I have seen a lot of struggling people around me with jobstuff, so I need it😉 That’s about it..
Baaaibaaai and love from Melbourne where the Christmas shit already started a long time ago, where the average temperature differs from my lovely home country with a 30-40 degrees (weird to hear Christmas songs in ur shorts on the beach etc:P) though I have to say, a few days in the snow, with you guys, would be awesome😉

hey hallo,
