It is always nice when you are given the correct information by the boss. We were meant to be picked up at 9:30, so breakfast was at 8, which meant I had to be up 7 to get HB and F up 7:30. Turns out that we weren't being picked up up till 10, breakfast was at 9 meaning I could have woke been up an hour later than I was. Never mind. Our flight was only an hour to Melbourne, by the time we were all settled we were about to land.
The hotel was called the Lyall just outside the heart of the city. We had our own apartment with a kitchen, the plus side was I got my own windowless room - bliss. Our evening was taken up going to see Mamma Mia, this show has been on in London for years but as an avid West End goer I have never had an desire to go and see the musical. I only saw the movie because when I went to see Kung Fu Panda the film was broken and Mamma Mia was the only other film playing. I can't remember where the others had

gone, I think they had gone for a walk, but HB and I had a private dinner and then had a bit of a girls evening getting ready for HB's first trip to the Theatre.
Mamma Mia was AMAZING! The people playing the 2 friends of the mum were hilarious, they started doing some rather raunchy dance moves that had F and I in stitches and HB asking what it meant. The whole evening was a great success.
The next day was just an HB and me day, the others all went on our tour of the city and Mrs G didn't think HB would have enjoyed it - good move. Well we had a great day together, Mrs G had left with instructions that I needed to go through HB's clothes and see which ones were getting to small and could be given away to a charity. I decided that instead of just getting her to try them on that we would make it into a fashion show. HB had fun doing that and putting all the clothes on, but she wasn't very happy when I said all the clothes that were now too small had to be given away. I got round it by telling her that firstly we were helping out others which is always a nice thing to do and secondly now that she had more space in her suitcase there was a chance that she could get new clothes.
The rest of the day was spent painting pictures, playing, and having lunch. When the others came back I took HB and F out for a walk to the corner shop to get something to eat. F picked out what he needed to cook us dinner, he is an excellent chef, and made a very delicious spaghetti bolognese for us all to enjoy out on our patio in the setting sun. It was a lovely way to end the last two days.
