After Freycinet we headed further down the coast to a little coastal town called Triabunna. It was a tiny caravan park and as soon as we got there we were having our doubts. Book. Cover. Judge not. Well it turned out to be pretty good actually. It was like everyone was on happy pills and super nice and friendly. Our neighbours, Bill and Jane, were from Balgowlah and doing the grey nomad thing. Alex was drooling over their turbo diesel Troopy and expensive camper, then looking at our set up and nearly crying. "Like a well oiled turd" I often hear him muttering to himself.... I keep telling him we'll have his dream set up one day. I really have to drum this in when we are in second gear climbing up a hill. Of course this reassurance is all going on between his timely instructions of "PEDDLE! Everybody peddle or we'll start going backwards!" Haha

During set up at Triabunna Reef found a scorpion in our bed. Eyes like an eagle. So thankfully that was a bit of a drama diverted. Thanks Reefy!!

Can't forget the untimed hot showers at Triabunna. Wow, they are a rare commodity these days...

Did some short trips down the coast from here - such a beautiful area, especially opposite Maria Island which we didn't get to - on the list for next time!
