DEc 10th - Day 24

A leisurely start to the day, fully emmersing myself into the Aussie Sunday. A slow start followed by a coffee and croissant and a read of the local paper. A former shark attack victim, well it is Australia, had advised a recent victim to get back out surfing. Bit difficult with only one leg. The previous victim had lost an arm and was now a champion surfer. The took the time to better explore the Botanic Gardens, which was nice and also included a rest under a tree and a chapter of my book. It wasn't so hot today, but was a lot more humid, so a rest and cool down was welcome. Then a wander back to the centre for something to eat and drink before heading back to the North Terrace to visit the art gallery I would have preferrede there to be more. After that had my usual beer, a James Squire Amber Ale, at the bar next door to my hotel.

In the evening headed down to Gougar Street and the Central Markets. The city had gone very quiet and there was hardly anyone around, and of course being a Sunday the markets were closed. Undeterred I ate at an Italian and ahd a very filliing pizza. Wandered back and finished the evening with a beer in the hotel bar. Reflecting on Adelaide it seems a very compact and easy going city, its just the temperature has been so hot. Its got nice parks and good free entertainment and on the whole is a good place to be.
