Fed Square AFL exhibit
In Fed Square with Melb (Australia's???) tallest building behind, Eureka Tower I think...
Gday guys,
Transit police. Friendly folk they are. Dion and I were were travelling home from a GF function in the city @ Nate Browns pub when we were nabbed for putting our feet on the seat. Are you serious?!?!?! Being that we were slightly lubricated we attempted to wrangle our way out of the charges, but when it was evident that we were no chance the smartarse comments came out. Dions claims of needing to elevate the lower extremities due to intermittant Claudication were recorded, the officers refused to believe that my mailing address was 820 2nd Ave Calgary and suggested that I might like to be arrested for providing false info. Ha!
Anyway, that aside I spent a nice few days recovering in Melbourne with Dion, Amanda and Emily. Emily is a cutie, walking a bit shakey, and strating to put some words together. Had a poke around the city, 'G', an awesome "world from above" photo exhibition @ Federation square and even a trip to the less than spectacular AFL grand final parade. Bloody West Coast, ruined a perfectly good GF by winning it. Now Matt and Brett will be talking smack for the next 12

Yarra River
The Yarra winds through Melbourne city centre... Its a lovely shade of Brown.
months. Caught up with Moo and Claire on Sunday for a very dusty lunch date, Mitch is enjoying the start of his off season after another good year which saw him officiate the VFL grandfinal. You ARE speical Mitch, look forward to the montage.
Made it to Adelaide on Monday, its hot. 32 deg today! Went down to the Glenelg Beach for dinner @ Stuc's work and to check out the sunset. Ahhh the beach, missed it!!! Really nice little area in and around Brighton beach, but the city centre itself is fairly unspectacular. There are plenty of nice old buildings (and even older trains!) and the Adelaide oval is close, so its kind of like a bigger version of Hobart (without the Salamanca waterfront...). Might head down towards the wine region on Friday, maybe catch up with Claire and Ramo at some stage too...
Oh yeah, Happy Birthday Adam, no I didn't forget (in fact I reminded Allegra) but I didn't managed to get a call away... Geez your getting old.
Anyway, will be in the skies again on Sat, back via Melb and onward to tasweiga. ETA 7:30pm at Launceston "international" airport to be greeted
by Shep. Hopefully a quiet beer or 3, followed by a lunch with the family on Sunday (Anna very good of you to volunteer to cook!).
Ciao
