for this trip we were in a group of 11, luckily everyone was really nice so it was a good trip. we had to drive a 4x4 toyota landcruiser round the island, which was sooo much fun!! i am definitely like my dad cos i love to drive... i need to drive somethihng bigger like a lorry or something now! this was bigger than the taxi we usually get when we go india with 3 seats in front and 2 benches in the back where 8 people sat. theres no tarmac roads and the roads inland are dodgy dirt like tracks, which is just sand and then theres the beach where we mainly drove on, which was really cool! i was very impressed by myself!!

we saw the sights of the island like the lakes and pretty coloured cliffs... and by night we camped... i mean proper camping, not like we did in NZ in holiday camps! we found camping spots and then set u camp there, we had gas cooker rings like we do at our paaths and our toilets... well lets just say all we had was a shovel!!!! 2 or 3 had to go at a time

plus the car we drove!
as we had to look out for dingoes which apparently can come and bite u on the bum! luckily none did but we did see a few wondering round our camp site at times. on the 1st night i cooked pasta (for 11 people!!) and everyone really enjoyed it and all i did was chuck in mixed spices and herbs!

last night (friday) we got on the bus from the other town (hervey bay) where we are now (airlie beach) and the journey took 12 hours.. and these are not brasil buses.. they are cramped like economy class on the planes so not so comfortable and then later today we are going on a sailing boat for 3 days and we are going to do a dive as well, which should be good...
