Looking at the pictures of the trees with snow reminded me of the coral at the Great Barrier Reef. That led me to think, 'hmmm. I should put some wedding/honeymoon pics on this too!'
First of all, the wedding was great! We had so much fun, and I hope that everyone else did as well! Big thanks to EVERYONE who helped and came! kisses!! All the flowers were beautiful, it was very nice of mum and dad to offer their place for everyone to have coffee and cake at, and the room, food and drink at Sirromet was just amazing! Oh, and the company of course!
The Hilton at Brissie gave us a bottle of champagne, and Pepper's Beach Resort at Port Douglas also gave us a really nice bottle white wine.
After all that rain we had been having, the weather on the wedding day was beautiful, and when we arrived at Port Douglas, the cyclone had moved on, so we were left with perfect blue days for the whole week!
Diving at the Great Barrier Reef was just amazing! We could book through the resort, so a bus came and picked us up, we were
At SirrometSuch a beautiful place to have a small reception dinner! The lighting, room, table settings, food, service, everything was just perfect!
provided with lunch and the oh-so-attractive stinger suits!
It was a really excellent last couple of weeks for us in Australia, and yes, it was really really weird to wake up in the dark morning in Sweden and think that last week it was so stinking hot we were in the pool most days by 7am!
At Sirromet againWhere we had dinner was the cellar, so there was wine lining every wall but two. All beautiful oak furniture and an adjoining kitchen catering for our dinner only.
Port Douglas 01We were the only ones on the mini-bus the whole drive from Cairns airport to the resort!
Reef 01Hallå! Stinger-suits, Marvelous!
Reef 02We had REALLY great conditions that day!
Reef 03This company goes to 3 different spots on the outer reef, and doesn't take so many people, so you don't feel crowded at all.
Reef 04There were so many fish! We also saw a pretty big shark, some squid and a big fat octopus that kept changing colour. We'd run out of film by then though!
