Airlie Beach & The Whitsundays!!

We arrived in Airlie Beach after a night bus which neither of us had very much sleep on so we were very tired :-( and then we had to wait around for four hours for our Whitsunday trip to start. There were only 17 people in our Whitsunday group 4of them were actually on our fraser island trip too and we shared a room with all of them. We had a big catermaran called 'Pride of Airlie' which was really cool. Instead of staying on the boat we were staying on an island resort which was crazy because it was literally just the 17 of us and a few staff. It was originally a large family resort and then was converted into a backpacker place mostly because it is quite run down. It was really fun though and they had drinking games in the bar every night. On our first night there we played games and got very drunk and it ended up being jus me and Michael with two of the bar girls at the end dancing in an empty bar haha and they gave us free drink. Well the next day on a boat was not very nice :-( we were both very seasick so we both definitely learnt our lesson haha.
After the sickness though we did have a really good day and we went to the amazing Whitehaven beach. It was really nice and the sand is the whitest in the whole world it is so fine and powdery. It was a shame the sun wasn't shining though, the weather was pretty bad for the whole trip, luckily it didn't rain but it was overcast all the time. They went to a snorkelling spot but me and Michael didn't go in because there were loads of jellyfish in the water :-( On our last day the boat stopped off again for snorkelling and then we got dropped off in Airlie beach quite early. We went out in Airlie beach that night with everyone on the trip to at goodbye!!! :-) X x x
