Land Ahoy!
We have sailed the Whitunday seas and now we are back on land - swaying back and forth!
We set off from Airlie Marina - sailed to Black sland on the 1st night. Thesecond day we sailed to the outer barrier reef - Bait Reef - snorkelled on the reef - absolutely amazing - so many fish and millions of different corals - some sharks and turtles too! We set sail late afternoon again and headed to Hook Passage for the night. Yesterday we set sail to Hill Inlet and Whitehaven beach - breath taking - probably th most beautiful place ever! Pics to come soon. We swam on the beach too - although it was more like having a bath - with sting rays underneath - had to be careful! Last night we dropped anchor in Nara Inlet and this moring had a slow sail home back to Airlie.
Fantastic experience - everybody must do it - and if M&D aregoing to - I'm coming with you! Tonight we are catching the night bus to Hervey Bay and then picking up our 4X4 in the morning and getting the boat to Fraser Island - here we aregoing to be camping out - talked to a fewpeople and they say there is some really good spots to stop - including the largelagoon - no stingers, sharks or crocs - woohoo!
Not sure if they have the internet there but i will blog again soon!
Not heard from anybody in about 2 weeks?????... Hope all is ok at home and not too hot - ts roasting here but too much really.

Well Hello Sailors!!!!! Hope you have scrubbed the decks before setting foot off the vessel???? Your Blogs are making me want to cry with jelousy. Especially the Whitehaven Beach part. I told you how amazing it was, and I know I was right! You will have a fabulous time on Fraser Island. The Shipwreck is phenomenal. Hope you are both enjoying your experience, and can you please stop complaining about the hellish temperatures. It is minus temperatures here!!!!!!!!! Im assuming that your tuna count has upped quite considerably since Thailand???? Hit me with the latest number..... Mike is such a sweetheart. He text me the other day to see if I wanted him to bring anything round, and he wanted to come and sit with me on his way out of town.......Brought a tear to my eye, bless him!!!!!
