Whit Sunday Coast Australia

Town of 1770:
We got the evening bus from rainbow beach and it took 5 hours to get too 1770. The bus drops you off at Agnes Waters, which is the sister town of 1770. They are 3km apart. 1770 is a small surfing town. We stayed in a hostel just outside town which had gorgeous grounds and a pool. Matt and Kara who we have been travelling with for a week now came with us and we all booked into the same dorm, which was a wooden cabin. We only stayed 2 days in 1770 as there is not that much to do and we were running low on cash. There is a tour you can do here for $50 called scooter roo. You rent a Harley Davidson type bike and ride from one town to the other.

We leave on Thursday night and get the night bus to Airlie Beach 10 hours north… (I use to complain about 3hour journey to Dublin!) Now I can never look back that’s just a fraction… Haha…

Airlie Beach 3rd June
WOW- I LOVE THIS PLACE! PARADISE!!!!

Beautiful little town right on the sea, with its own man made lagoon- with fresh water like a swimming pool. Its amazing…Packed with shops, pubs, nightclubs, restaurants, etc. It is a right little party town. I’m in love with it…We stayed here for one night in magnums went out for pizza with Matt and Kara as it is our last night with them before they head out on their boat trip. Sad to see them go got really close to them. Lovely couple! Left Airlie Beach at 3pm the next day after lazing by the pool for hours. Back to reality now. Heading to Bowen where we will work and settle for 2-3 months. L wish I had all the money in the world to carry on travelling… L

September 2010-
After working in Bowen for 2 months, Will and I decide to treat ourselves and do a WhitSunday trip. So we booked one night on one of the WhitSunday islands. Long Island resort and a day cruise to the great barrier reef and white haven beach… The islands are beautiful. Crystal clear waters, little islands with white sand. Its gorgeous…we relaxed for 2 days on Long island luxury resort and then went on the cruise around the whit Sundays. Whitehaven beach is crazy, one of the whitest beaches in the world… AMAZING!!!! We had an hour on this beach to explore and relax…I didn’t want to leave L We did a snorkle trip aswel which was included and was really cool seeing all the fish swimming in amongst the corals…. The reef was quite small though and everyone was hitting off each other a little bit L but was still fun!!!

Hi guys So its been a year since I left Ireland to follow my dreams and travel the world. Since then I have been to North America, Fiji & Australia. I am still currently in Australia and just finished my 3 months fruitpicking to extend my visa for a second year. Leaving home I hoped I would come away and enjoy myself and then settle back into Ireland after my traveling was done. Now I feel more unsure than ever.. I dont know when I want to come home? All I know is that I wa... full info
