The plan for this week was to get away somewhere but be close enough for my girls night in Brisbane (to see Queen) on Thursday, and to attend the Caravan & Camping show at Redcliffe on the weekend. We left Grafton early on Monday morning (10/02) and headed north to our first stop - Ballina RV Centre. The ESC (electronic stability control) had stopped working last trip and was still showing a red indicator (not working properly). After a couple of hours of trial and error it was finally working and we were good to go. Then there was a traffic accident between Yelgun and Chinderah which caused a detour off the motorway up the Tweed Valley Way, and then another accident on the Gold Coast which caused bumper to bumper traffic on the motorway for ... read more

... But wanting to get everything sorted out with communicating to friends and family at home. Wondered if this site is any good and how easy it is to operate and add photos.. of course the best way is to find out is to just give it a try. As I will only be taking my tablet overseas I will have to try it out on that as well. Just starting the process. Set up was extremely easy less than a minute and I am blogging. Going to add photos and Maps too.. see how I go. I wonder if you can personalize the background and change the spelling to English rather than American so it doesn't keep coming up with spelling mistakes.. things to look into.... read more

Hi all We are now back in Scarborough. We drove Allen and Marijke to the airport today at Brisbane. They have spent the last 8 days with us, exploring north as far as Bundaberg. We had 3 nights at Maroochydore, then 3 nights at Hervey Bay, with their 1st and last nights here at Scarborough. We have done almost 2000 km with them, and had a great time, although the weather could have been warmer and sunnier! We did a trip into Bribie Island on the way to the Sunshine Coast, and visited Jill and Phil on the way to Moochydore. After exploring the beaches , and looking at Phil's new yacht, we headed inland to the Hinterland, looking accross to the Glasshouse Mountains.
