Hello all
Had a restful day on thursday around town and on the beach then went up to Mossman Gorge, Daintree River and Cape Tribulation yesterday
Took the Kuku Yulangi Aborigine cultural walk yesterday. Really interesting telling us about how they use the trees and plants in the rainforrest. Some will feed you and others will cause nasty skin reactions, blind you or even kill you.
Took Bruce Belcher's trip on the Daintree River and saw the head of the 4m male saltwater crocodile as he slid back into the water
and one of the smaller ones in the sun on the bank. Saw the beautiful kingfisher,a green tree frog and a white egret.
Also got a meat pie and a drink at the end - dinner and a show!!
Moved on to Cape Tribulation via the ferry. Beautiful beaches and views of the rainforrest. Went on a boardwalk through the forrest and mangrove swamp
On the way back just caught the Daintree Ice Cream Company for a great taste of 4 different tropical flavours in a lovely garden
Having another lazy day today before going up to Kuranda tomorrow on the Atherton tablelands.
Flying down to Hamilton Island monday for
Port DouglasFlowers for the church arrangements
These grow wild and in gardens around here
2 nights then onto the yacht sailing around the whitsundays.
Didn't manage to get out to the Reef at Port Douglas as the weather has become windy with rough seas so hope for better in a few days time.
More in a few days
Best wishes
