Trip to Straddie island

Updates from the last two weeks:
Ive been working for about 2 weeks now, I like it, the people at my work are really nice. But the restaraunt is fancy so i have these stricked giuldlines to follow and it seems like I keep messing them up, but im slowly learning. Me and jason were lucky enough to get invited to go out to the christmas party, which was all inclusive...including drinks, which then leads to me drinking to much wine haha We ended up leaving without saying bye to anyone lol i dont think anyone really noticed. We went to the realllllly good indian resteraunt and im not sure if it was so good because it was good or because i was drunk lol BUT i really enjoyed myself.

Then for a day we went to new farm park, which has this old powerhouse on the river that has been converted into this pub/graffiti art gallary and every sunday they have live music. It was really interesting, and the park was huge.

And finally we just got home from taking a mini vacation to Straddie island. It is apparently the second largest sand island. We stayed a dive hostel. One day they lost 2 people while out scuba diving the ambulance and police were there, eventaully the people were found lol but made me a little apprehensive about trying scuba diving lol There were some beautiful beaches, we took a day on the beach and drinking beer at the pub that over looked the ocean. We also went exploring the 2 roads that the islands made up of the rest is 4x4 track. We wanted to hike to the "blue lake" but we walk 15 mins in and decided that it probably wasnt worth it lol So we went to brown lake which is actaully brown because its surrounded by tea trees. So its bascially i lake of tea lol and it tastes like tea too!

Anyways we are once again broke, so we will have to work really hard for the next couple months, to be able to go more interesting places!

I miss you all xoxox i had a dream about home the other night waking up to think meeks was next to me and when i realized she was not i was actaully a little bit upset :( but i guess i can pull through, having all the beautiful beaches and weather to distract me lol
