We made it to Queensland aka the sunshine state and it rained a bit more!

We did a canoeing trip up the everglades on the upper Noosa River. We didnt let the rain dampen our spirits and had a really good few days and made a few new friends!

The first day was lovely with the sun out so we sunbathed and drifted more than paddled to the campsite. And at least the camp was set up before the rain started. We had everything with us in the canoe; tent, cooker, food, alcohol, clothes etc etc. It was quite hard work, especially for Paul as Rachel was enjoying the sunbathing.

We got to see some awesome wildlife including Guana's (really huge 1.5m long lizards) it was so cool!

Day 2 in the torrential rain we canoed further up the river and did a 12km walk up to a sand patch. It was so strange like a desert in the middle of the forest.
