One of the mandatory stops on the Oz bus is this working cattle station located in inland Queensland. I was very sceptical at first thinking that it would be a dude ranch all cheezed up. The complete opposite. They really were fabulous hosts. We did skeet shooting with a shoot gun, goat mustering on horse back, quading throught the property to see the Brama cattle, whip cracking, roping and a goat rodeo... where my team came in secound..... Should of been first!!!! That was just in the afternoon. That evening they prepared a open flame roast beef meal with all the fixings plus stove top biscuits and bread...... Fantastic!!!

I did the property tour and had a great visit with Allen the owner who is 70 years old. He will work on the ranch till the day the hurst shows up. He diversified into tourisim for a couple of reasons. One they had suffered a sever drought and he had to sell his breeding stock or continue to loose money. Two he uses the place as an education station for international tours and school groups to help them understand the value and importance of where thier food comes from. The brama cattle are ugly but the property was beautifull. Allan and family are passiionate people who beleive in what they do and i have a lot of resepect for them. what a great experiene. If i had more time, I would of stayed their and worked for a while. Absolutley fantastic people!!!!

The evening kicked off with country music, Lots of this booze called giggle juice.... What ever is in it, it knocked grandma on her ass and she was "candace drunk" Then we played drinking games and procedded on to the bull riding. I thought this was going to be easy, no problem. I've done this before. Not absolutly pissed. Our bus won the bullriding and team Canada dominated all the events. Including best costume (which was a auusie hat tied over his junk and a canadian flag drawn on his ass), plus naked bull riding( first Alex then me). The evening was an absolute gong show and grandma was setting the bar high. I will be going down as a legend as the first ever women to get her kit out and ride the mechanical bull. If I wanted to leave my mark in Austrailia, I think i just did in a big Double D kind iof way. It was full on as i was in my element. We shuter down around 4:00 am and up at 6:00 am for breakfast.

The bus ride the next day was 12 hours and I have not suffered like that in a long time. At one point I thought that I was going to have to get the 60 pearson bus to pull over so I could puke by a tree. Great, just what i need more attention. Everyone now photoing my back side too.

At the end of the day, " if you can't be good then be good at it." I took that pretty litterally. Grandama turned the lights out again on all thoose young bitches... maybe tommorrow they can keep up or I can start acting my age....... It will be probally neither.

Hope all is well in Canada. Miss you!!!!

Love from "The Krommbit Ledgend" Candy

I am a 29 year old Canadian that is excited to experience Austraila. It only took me 10 plus years of talking about it to make it a reality. I have been gifted with the time to travel and do not plan on wasting a minute of it. Look out australia "MOMAS COMING!" ... full info

Seriously??
OK. Am I to gather from this latest entry that you actually rode a mechanical bull naked??? CANDACE DAWN!!! (Ok - that was for your mom ;) If this is the case I am both proud of you for this recent display, as well as thankful to God that I was not there to witness it! Are they going to make a movie about you when this is all over?? I can see it now... "from the makers of American Pie comes... Candy Down Under". Wow! Now we all know why you are still single. You were meant to remain that way until after this trip of a lifetime... or you would have been again by the time you got back home!! Glad you are having a great time and teaching those Aussie's a thing or two! xoxox

Wow.....
My sweet Candy... I knew you would take Australia by storm....and yet I am still in awe! We REALLY needed to send someone down there with you...No, no, no - not to supervise nor control - but to simply witness and document these events! WOW! I'm impressed with the naked bull riding (HAHAHAHA! again...wow!) and with your ability to orchestrate a perpetual gong show wherever you go.....But I am DOWN RIGHT STUNNED that you swam ACROSS a lake and didn't DROWN. Kid - you amaze me every day. And even though I may have inhaled sharply at the image of your bare essentials vs. brahma story.... I am so proud of you! Australia will never be the same....and nor will you! Keep on having fun--- and for the love, be safe. PS- Congrats and HALLELUIAH!!!! re:St. Patty's Day (Who knew it would take the intervention of a Saint!)
