We left Gulnare Inlet this morning to go to Cid harbour which is in the same island (WhitSunday Island0 but on the opposite side, we went the long way around so we could visit Whitehaven Beach famous around the world for its beautiful and incredible expanse of pure white sand, had a swim and went for a long walk with the boys, the water was cristal clear and 23* great for my first swim of the season.
Went through the famous Hook passage , past Hook island which has an underwater observatory , a sunken metal tube that allows you to descend and view from underwater the coral and fish, we will visit it when Ella and Dennis come.
All this area is very pretty, and very much visited by chartered yachts. We will spend the night in Cid harbour and tomorrow we will go to the main land at Shute harbour for shopping and refuelling, and coffee’s of course.
