Getting near to the end of our holiday ....aaaaw, don't want to go back to work etc. just yet! However, today is a good day ...off to Movieworld! Today Bruce picked us up and were there when the gates opened at 10am. The first thing you see when you enter under the archway is Batwing ..kinda reverse of the Giant Drop. You sit in seats at the bottom of the tower (not as high as Giant Drop) and 5, 4, 3, 2, 1 .....UUUUUPPPP you go whoooooosh! Wow, I can cope with that, kinda scary (scream every time lol), but fun and on the way down you get kinda bounced down in stages.
I then got persuaded to go on the Superman ride ....I saw the track so I really don't know why I was persuaded, but anyway, persuaded I was! You must have absolutely no loose items with you ...all was stashed in a locker prior to queuing. It is the most faaaaaaast, kinda roller coaster thing and it is horrrrrid! Sit in your seat in little cars as part of a long roller coaster and all of a sudden aaaaaaargh you are travelling at something like 100kph (0-100
Suuuuperman!See, my brain obviously was not in gear when I agreed to go on THAT ride! At 100kph THAT's what you go over first ....aaaaaargh!
in 1second!) lucky I didn't have a wig I can tell you. It would have been gone! Then you are whirled, shaken and whoosed around this track ....you will see the photo attached (ha ha ha). My bra straps were half way down my arms and I really was concerned that my singlet was going to be sucked off me by the speed (luckily it was not!). Needless to say, that will be my one and only turn on that ride!!!
Loved the log flume, which had a backwards component so that the people in the back of the log got soaked as well as us in the front when we went down the last drop (another time I screamed!). Drip, drip, drip ...never mind, we were pretty savvy and went on that ride fairly early on in the day so that the sun dried us up pretty quickly. It really doesn't matter if you look like you have wet your pants (majorly) because there appear to be many around with the same problem!
I rediscovered the Scooby Doo ride which Amy and I went on when we went to Movie World on our holiday a few years
Who's scared ?!!!Meeeeeeee! See the state of my attire. I did have my eyes open, but only slits as that was all I could stand!
ago. Gosh, that is a fun ride ...also having a backwards riding element! Because of the name of the ride and the fact that I really liked it, James thought it was something tame and was verrrry surprised ha ha ha! It is a roller coaster ...but in the dark and it is very fast with mannny sudden 180deg turns on track which is very high up and you do not feel very secure ha ha ha! However, we went on that about 5 times before the day was out. That and the Batwing were my favourite rides.
When Amy & I went last, there was a Police Academy show but now that has been replaced with a Stunt Drivers show. Cool, but not as funny as the Police Academy one.
Bruce had to leave at 2pm but James & I stayed on ...running from ride to ride before the park closed. We utilised the local bus service again to get home. Takeaway dinner and then an early night ....so much excitement. Movie World was my absolute favourite theme park :)
