Cairns!

So we landed in Cairns at around 9:30am...only a short flight (2 hrs or so) Strangest thing we saw in Cairns was the presence of clouds for the first time in 4 weeks! We spent 3 days doing absolutely nothing there until on monday we went diving/snorkling on the great barrier reef.. WOW what a place to snorkle (Rob says it's amazing to scuba dive) We had 8 hours on the reef with Passions of Paradise, very good tour, well worth the money...the colours on the reef are so amazing and soo many fish... After this we ended up renting a nice Holden Commodore SV6 (reminds me of a Monte Carlo) sweet car, very nice indeed...we then headed out to Cooktown (last place north we could drive too) then we headed to Undara and visited some huge lava tours, had to spend two nights there....then we where off to Port Douglass for a night, we left the next morning for Townsville....spent the nite at a hostel the reminded me of a section 8 buiding but it turned out to be much better than expected. The next day we got up early and went to the reef aquarium that they had in the town, then drove to Airley Beach...spent the night there and then drove up to Rockhampton.... not much to see there so we left asap and drove to Hervey Bay.. stay tuned, Rob should have some amazing pictures of Fraser Island as we are of for a 3 day tour of the world's largest sand island!
