After leaving Agnes Waters we headed a little further north for our winter escape, we continued north up the back road from Bundy to rejoin the Brute highway at Miriam Vale and to then continue north to Boyne River rest area. Similar to Six Mile creek rest area at Gympie, Boyne River rest area is another place where weary drivers seem to rest for a very long time. If you don't mind the roaring trucks all through the night and arguably the stinkiest dunny's in the free world, its a pretty good place to rest a while. It never ceases to amaze the Littleflower and the Morningbird of just how many Winebagos, (we would love to win a bago'), buses, vans, giant 5th wheelers and the plethora of caravans that are all travelling this great country ... read more
