Die Kristallhöhlen in Atherton (Atherton Tablelands) zählen zu einer der spektakulärsten Kristallsammlungen Australiens. Die Privatsammlung von René Boissevain umfasst mehr als 600 Exemplare von Kristallen, Edelsteinen und Fossilien, u.a. "The Empress of Uruguay", der weltgrößte Amethyst Geode. Dieser dunkel violett farbene Stein ist über 3m hoch und wiegt mehr als 2.5 Tonnen - Just incredible!!!
