St Patricks Day in Darwin - Chani's Last Hurrah

My last weekend in Darwin... hugely excessive bender with my pub family... fairly typical of life in Darwin really! I deliberately chose St Patrick's Day to be my last hurrah because we tend to take it pretty seriously... going to the races first gave me a good chance to hang out with the kids, then I headed to the pub with the slightly larger kids.

I'm a little cut about leaving home, just because I have such a great crew here, but the awesome thing about living in small town where everyone drinks too much is that life doesn't change very quickly. My good mates will always be my good mates, and I'll always be able to slip back into life pretty easily here...

So my next posting will be from England - I spoke to my brother last night and it was snowing! How the hell is a Darwin kid going to cope in the snow?? Going to have to wear shoes and everything. Till then, have a look at the drunken idiots that are my family...
