Alice Springs

Arrived in Alice Springs around lunch time on Sunday, the airport was very different to any I have seen before. We found our transfer bus straight away and wasn't very far till we arrived at the hostel. Sorry but this is probably going to be quite a boring blog as we have not done a lot here. Had a 6 hour nap when we got here! Had a lot of sleep to catch up on. I am absolutely covered in bites now and they are really painful! Its so horrible I just feel like I want to remove my skin!!!

On Monday we sunbathed by the pool for a while, it is hotter here. Then we went in to town and ended up at a travels agents, booking lots of stuff for the rest of our trip. We booked a tour to Kangaroo island, a weeks accommodation in Melbourne, and a diving course plus accommodation for Magnetic island on the great barrier reef!! When we got back to the dorm I thought I had walked into the wrong room as there were guys in there and we have booked female only dorms! I was about to walk back out when I saw Anwen! So it was my room but I was quite shocked to see guys in there, think the hostel has messed up. But they turned out to be really nice and so were the girls too. We went out for drinks with most of our dorm tonight and had a really good night at "The Rock Bar" though drinks are so expensive here! Got along with them all really well and had a good laugh :) There was a German guy with two German girls and an English guy. There is also a Swedish guy and an English girl in our dorm who are also really cool.

Today collected our tickets for everything we booked yesterday and I bought an aboriginal patterned bag! Didn't really need a new bag but I definitely wanted something with the aboriginal pattern on as they look amazing and will definitely use it whislt were here! This evening we're just doing laundry and packing ready for our trip into the outback which leaves in the morning. I imagine its going to be a tiring 5 days so we're just hanging out with the people in our dorm tonight now before it all begins!!!
