Yesterday, Noah met a horse. As soon as he got it in his sights he was off, there was nothing that could have distracted him. After saying ‘hi’ and waving he threw his vegemite sandwich to it… at least I know he is willing to share.

I didn’t let the horse have the sandwich, though his owner happily gave him a bit after Noah attempted to throw the sandwich to Blue Boy a second time. Noah didn’t get to really pat the horse, but he did get his hands sniffed and nibbled by the horses lips… he was thrilled.

The horse was owned by one of the permanent residents at the camp. Ryan got out there the next day and took some photos while the owner gave the horse a bit of exercise around the fenced horse jumping ring.

For the rest of the time we were at Glenreagh, Noah went looking for the horse whenever he was outside.

Sunday held a bit of excitement. I was in the fun process of washing the clothes when Ryan called out that the police were there and it looked like they were going to be doing some dog training. Well, I could have made a complete arse of myself as Steve’s twin hopped out of one of the cars. The only thing that stopped me calling out was the army green camo… Steve seems to favour the snow camo…. for those wondering who Steve is, he is the behaviourist that helps me with the dogs.

As it turns out, they weren’t training dogs and my guess that they were coordinating a search for a missing person wasn’t quite correct. It was the NSW police drug squad and they were doing an area search for marijuana crops. Late in the afternoon two vehicles came back with quite a few plants strapped in the back.

Tomorrow (Monday), we pack up and head for Scotts Head.
