Oh gosh last night was messy and surfing with a fuzzy goon hangover head is not a great idea!

Albeit messy it was a damned good night! We we’re drinking jugs of beer and sangria until 2 in the morning. Drinking games were played, cross dressing occurred and kissing shenanigans happened! At one point everyone jumped in the pool fully dressed and splashed around to System of a Down. Hannah got her Angel Wing Poi out so we had a go at that. Then when the jugs ran out GoldenAxe (a German guy who just looked like a Viking) got his goon out and shared it with us, there was only 5 of us still standing at this point!

So the 7am start wasn’t a great one for me this morning, not only was my head fuzzy but every muscle in my body was screaming at me not to go surfing again. It wasn’t just the muscles either, I was bruised and scratched and grazed. I found it most difficult today! What was really cool was that a pod of dolphins came right into where we were surfing, unfortunately I was in the whitewash so still a few metres away but others were right next to them.

I forgot to mention that in the two days we have been surfing the sun only managed a brief glimpse this afternoon, the rest of the time it was cold! We went up to the shop to have lunch and a warm brew and then it was back to camp to pack up and say goodbye. In some respects I wish I had done a longer surf camp, but then again my body defiantly would not have handled it! So back to Sydney for one last night it is. Tomorrow we go to Canberra.

As much as we would have liked to stay there we decided to embark on a huge tour of Australia in our own campervan “Harry” a 1984 Toyota Hiace that we had all checked out by a professional mechanic and told it was sound. So we bought him and injected a lot of love and care into cleaning h... full info
