Good Day Mates
Writing to you from Sydney Airport...Mixed emotions... Leaving Sydney is/was not that easy... Even the last hours were specatcular ! Got up at 5:30 this morning to make my way to the Harbourt to withness an historic occasion : Two Queens were arriving this morning in Sydney : the Queen Elisabeth and the Queen Mary both sailed into Sydney around 7h this morning. These cruise ships are the largest ones in the world...All I can say is that it was the perfect cherry on the pie for this wonderful visit to my beloved Sydney.
Yesterday I started the day off by travelling to Bondi : had a mission to accomplish there for a colleague. By lunch time I returned to the city for some shopping. Sydney has several shopping streets and shopping malls. But with a luggage restriction and a strong Australian Dollar there was not that much to shop. Still I got myself a nice T-shirt and a new pair of shorts.
In the evening I met up with Brendan. We went for a drink at the Opera Bar where we not only enjoyed good conversation over a glass of wine, but we also withnessed how the sun set down and the Opera House and Harbour Bridge were sparkling in the dark. Sigh...
So, off to Melbourne now. 3 more nights on Australian soil...A countdown with mixed emotions. But it is a countdown, as after all I kind of miss you guys and girls...If I would win the lottery one day, I will have you all flown in into Sydney to celebrate one of my birthdays... I guess I better start playing with the lottery than..
