We stayed with Laura’s family just outside the city centre and some good weather allowed us to see the beaches around Sydney and do some sightseeing. The free walking tour was good as they point out places you’d miss and tell you some history of the place when the convicts were roaming the streets. It was definitely worth the money! We had a look at the Rocks market and walked around the royal botanic gardens where you get a good view of the opera house and harbour bridge. We got the ferry over to Manly via Sydney harbour and walked along the coast as it was a bit chilly for sunbathing. We went to the blue mountains and were lucky that we got to see the view on a clear day, although Stuart was disappointed as he was expecting snow-capped peaks. We also had some lovely meals trying out Lebanese and Vietnamese which were really nice.
