There really is no point to this blog.
But I wanted to share this sort of funny story.
I was looking up the weather in Sydney and Auckland for the next week. Just to see what temps I was getting into.
Well, I used weather.com because its what I know.
The temps were in Fareheit. I had to think really hard what the numbers meant and actually converted them to Celsius so I would have a local reference. Felt kind of stupid.
Ok now for some music trivia or knowledge.
Here is a list of the most popular songs I've heard repeatedly in the last 2 months. Note these really aren't my types of music but its what you here in the bars/clubs and radio.
#1 This was the overall #1 song I've heard in the Phillippines and Oz.
My Humps -- Black Eyed Peas
#2 Again this is popular in both countries. Don't know the song but here is a line from it.
Ay Ay Ay, Don't F@$% with my heart
Ok now the rest in random order.
#3 some Tagalog song in the Philippines
#4 OZ only -- "I want to wish you well" Not sure but its old and starts out like Jessies girl
#5 Oz only -- "I come from a land down under" Men at work.
I've asked Aussies if they really listen to it and they say no, but I keep hearing it.
Ok that is all.
Oh wait one other thing.
On a bit of good news. It looks like I'll get my pics back. There was a guy in Hobart with a recovery program. So I left him the card overnight and he recovered 260 pics from the card including pics of tassie devils. He is going to put them on a cd and send the card and cd to me in NZ.
I'll let you know.
Now the last fact. Lots of toilets in Oz have 2 buttons. I never knew what they were for because they both caused the toilet to flush. I now think that the one on the left is half flush and uses less water.
Ok that really is all.

Next you'll be drinkin beer in litres.
Farrell, or Mike as some people might call you, just got caught up on your blog. I've read some, but it has been a while. Some great pics which I'm sure don't do justive to what you've seen. Good stuff! I think you're in NZ now, somewhere far away. Are you going to see Middle Earth when you're there??? If you see Samwise, tell him I say, "Whassup?" I'll be a more regular visitor, just bookmarked the page. Until next time.
I'll drink beer in any amounts that they will serve it to me.
You've been away too long.
Celcius is not a metric system. It is a centigrade system defining 100 degrees as the boiling point of water and 0 as the freezing point of water.
Work that into your conversation at the local pub and you'll be sure to impress the Kiwi ladies.
Take Care
