The view from my room...The view from my room...
The view from my room...

How poetic. It's cool I have huge windows - floor to mid-waist and since it's a two story flat... very tall!
Ok, exciting news of the week: I was in the Australian Geographic store in Bondi yesterday and I found the cutest stuffed emu. So I started to play with it and then I opened up the tag attached to its side and it said "My name is Sharlene". No joke. So I bought it (because it's ME, in emu size!) and have enclosed a photo.

Last couple days have been relaxing. Lauren, my friend who I've known since I was 4 years old came up to visit so we did the touristy Opera House and boat cruise etc. Yesterday we walked around Bondi Junction and there was this store that sold imported candy. They had these taffy/sherbert sticks called Refreshers - I used to eat these every tuesday when I was a kid, after pottery class (yes folks, I took pottery lessons... no, there is no link to working in Pottery Barn in the future) and we'd get them from the vending machine for 50c. So I took a photo of that too.

We had dinner at this place called Moda last night at Bondi, which overlooks the harbour all the way from Bondi. I finally got to have

some semifreddo!!! Ohhh, good memories. It lived up to my Italy experience for sure, plus it had passionfruit sauce which was a nice bonus.

The french is going pretty well, I have three lessons this week. Very productive! I have my private lesson, then I'm sitting in on two other classes too for revision. Tomorrow Raphaelle is going to lend me Marie Claire - in french! Love it.

Today is grocery day, along with laundry, maybe a movie or some reading in the park if it's nice and then dinner with Neil. I have also posted some photos of the view from my window - it was the weirdest thing and I don't know if you can see it in the photos, but it was incredibly sunny, and yet raining! So pretty.

I'm seriously running out of things to take photos of. If anyone has any assignments, or suggestions, let me know.
Ciao ciao.

I just graduated from university and even though I've traveled a lot, this is my first big solo trip - hopefully many more to come! I will be spending almost all of September 2005 in Italy with one backpack and two pairs of shoes (very difficult for me to leave the other 40 pairs behind! j/k) Hopefully this will be an easier method to keep in touch with people at home. Message me!!!... full info
