Today was a relaxing and fun filled day! It was gorgeous outside when I awoke, around 29 degrees (sorry to everyone in North America... but I had to mention that little fact). I headed down to Bondi Beach for the day and spent a few hours lying around in the sun, listening to music and reading yet another book about Roma. I really do believe I will return there! Even with this change of location, I've read a book about a Sydney woman who moves there on a whim, now I'm reading about Cleopatra and her involvement in Roman politics, and when I head down to Melbourne, Lauren has promised me a movie night with "Three coins in the fountain" and "La Dolce Vita". The day was also spent buying a bikini (bright red!) and having a glass of red wine and some beautiful spaghetti amatriciana in an outdoor cafe.

My only complaint about Australia and I had totally forgotten this from when I used to live here, was the flies. Damn mozzies! They're everywhere!!! And keep in mind that I sprayed about half a can of bug spray on me, and yet they were still all over me.

Also as a bonus, I got a call from Adecco today who has signed me up for just over two weeks of work so far - and Suzanne is still checking things out for me. Brilliant! I got a call from Intrepid because I applied to be a tour guide with them and so I must call them back tomorrow, as well as Alliance Francaise as I want to brush up on my french. My mummy is so generously looking for a job for me in Hong Kong and she told this particular company that I speak french fluently. Haha... yeah, so it's time to brush up. Can't hurt, even if I don't get the job.

Have included some pictures of Bondi - for Sharon's sake as I know that each day I post she's reminiscing of her fond fond summer trip. Am also planning on heading down to Melbourne Nov 5-13 or so... hang out with friends down there etc. It's gonna be good! To my sisty who is sick, tell me what you want from here and you can be sure of a TimTam package in January.

I am exhausted after today so perhaps a quiet night in. Tomorrow and Friday are going to crazy running around, cleaning up for Jacqualine, meeting old friends... will be in touch.
ciao caro.

I just graduated from university and even though I've traveled a lot, this is my first big solo trip - hopefully many more to come! I will be spending almost all of September 2005 in Italy with one backpack and two pairs of shoes (very difficult for me to leave the other 40 pairs behind! j/k) Hopefully this will be an easier method to keep in touch with people at home. Message me!!!... full info
