Theory #1: Burger King is the new EVERYTHING. I had lunch with Kenji at Burger King before he had to work and we went and ate in the park. Their grilled chicken burger - YUM. this is the best fastfood in the city, I'm convinced because they use wholewheat burger buns! So it started to rain a little, and Kenji and I went walking around the area and here is...
Theory #2: Most gorgeous men shop at David Jones. There was this man who was so DASHINGLY good looking that my head and body turned all the way around when he walked past - and so Kenji and I went running after him, and he ended up in the belt section of David Jones. slightly curly blond hair, tall, broad shoulders, well dressed... poor Kenji had to pretend to look for a belt just so I could stare at him! And he was wearing his work nametag on his hip which said 'Anthony'. THEN, since I was looking for a carrier bag to travel with to Melbourne, I went back to David Jones after dropping Kenji off at work, and after trying on hats with veils (super cute but no occasion!), and no luck in the bag department, I was walking out when this other very good looking guy in a suit held the door open for me. *sigh* Both reminded me heavily of that charming MBCo guy that I still (yes, 8 months later) have a crush on and go red when I think about him.
Theory #3: Cracked pepper Carr's biscuits are amazing. They don't sell anything with poppy seeds here in Aussie so cracked pepper was the next top choice in my books. Just a slight zing - I'm eating them plain, they're that good! It really doesn't matter that the supermarket is right across the street, I have been putting off doing my groceries for about 3 days now.
Theory #4: Haigh's chocolate is just as good as/perhaps even better than Godiva, and I DO love my Godiva chocolates. I just had an amazing dark chocolate filled with caramel and it was yummy. Though I do miss Godiva's key lime truffles... hmmm.
Theory #5: Life is much better when you don't take everything so seriously. This goes back to previous posts in Italy where I spoke of the need for siestas - to sit back and see what is really important. Take joy in the small things, remember them for what they were and be concerned about what makes you happy. I look back on the past few days and the drama that I got myself involved in just because I forgot to gain perspective, and it almost makes me want to laugh and beat my fists against the wall because that was time wasted on people who didn't ultimately make me happy. I believe I am healed. I really do think I'm finally finding myself.
Theory #6: Okay I caved and got my cell phone fixed. (04) 06056106. I will rejoin the living, talking world.
