Sydney
The veiw we awoke to for the last 4 days. Thanks to Shaz & Baz Well after saying our goodbyes to chris and the girls in Alice springs it was down to me and sally to do the long 2000km+ drive back to sydney because thats were we was flying out from and we had to give the hippie van back to there. We had already seen all the tourist stuff on the way from Sydney to Alice so we had nothin but driving to do for the next 3 to 4 days. We decided to cut across from Adelaid to Sydney instead of going right around the bottom of the country again which would of took us another day or 2 ontop of the driving we already had to do. We decided to head straight for coober pedy which is the opal mine town we told you about in the last blog. Thats the furthest we could of got before it got dark. After a 5 hour drive we made it safe and sound to coober pedy and setup camp for the night there. Again we used our meal vouchers off the campsite and got a pizza from the cafe. We got up nice and early again the next day as we needed to make

The Veiw again cant get enough of it it off the stuart highway before it got dark and there was nowere to stop between coober pedy and the next bit of life called Port Augusta. We made it by about 5 o clock after 7 hours of none stop driving through desert. We set up camp again and got our heads down for another day of driving ahead of us. We were aiming to make it for a bigish town each night so there was a bit of life around as we got there incase we got lost or we ended up being in the middle of a hill billy town so the next town we headed for was Mildura. Liverpool were playing so we found a sports bar and set up there for the night. We got the map out the next day and picked our next destination which was as close to Sydney as possible and it was a place called Cowra. Cowra was pretty dead because its just a little town in the middle of no were so we just spent the night in a carpark and off we set the next day.
We made it to Sydney nice and early the next day

Just 1 more to rub it in haha and headed for where Chris was living because thats the only place we knew our way around from. We parked outside his old house and spent the day wondering around Sydney. We found a decent camp site about 20 kilometers outside Sydney so we headed there and done a new little trick. We parked up outside and seaked in for a shower then sneaked back out and slept in a side road to save ourselfs a little bit of money. This became a repeat everynight and we saved ourselfs $30 a night. On our 3rd day back in Sydney we parked in our usual place and was taking our usual walk to Kings Cross when who do we bump into Billy. There is over 4 million people in the city and we bump into Billy. He was sitting in a cafe waiting for sharon while she was in the hair dressers next door. They still had our bags and we was planning to pick them up from them that day. Lucky enough they had them in the car around the corner so that saved us a trip.
After getting our bags we sat with billy while he waited for

The famous Bondi sharon to finish in the hair dressers. When she came out we were talking about what our plans are and we needed to find a hostel for the last few days stay in sydney. They offerd us a place to stay and because sharon was away on bussiness in thailand and billy was working all day and had a few things on in the nights we basicly have the apartment to ourselfs. When the day came to hand the scooby van back we were sad to see it go but relived because we were getting our $2500 bond back. We stayed a night in a hostel and the next morning we met sharon for the keys to there place. Se even let us the car to finish off the things we missed in sydney because we didnt have a camera we didnt want to goto places without taking some pics so Neil bought a new camera and off we went to Bondi and the blue mountains which was lovely. We just spent the last few days watching T.V and looking at the veiws.
