Still in Sydney

Hi again,

Just like buses you wait ages for a post and 2 come along at once. This time with some more pictures!

Since I last posted I did go on the hunter valley tour. It was good, but maybe wasn't quite worth the $99 I paid for it! Still I got to taste many wines and learnt a little about them. I really didn't believe much about eating certain wines with certain foods, but now I've tried a few it does make a lot of sense!

I also took the chance to go whale watching - it's the start of the northerly migration. We saw a mother and calf and stayed alongside them for a few hours, with them surfacing every 4-5 mins. It was great to see real whales for the first time, and at the end of the tour we were 'mugged' by them. Which is when they decide to switch course and swim around us to see whats going on - when this happens they're too close for us to move so the boat gets out of gear and just floats until they go away. Supposedly this is a very rare occurance for the northern migration, with the whales getting much closer than the 100 metres we try to stay away.

After the whale watching I went to Sydney Aquarium, I had been highly recommended it by a few other people. It's easily the best aquarium I've been to and traveling in their oceanarium tunnels is probably the nearest thing to scuba diving I've seen!

Anyhow, I better get onto uploading pictures.
