Two turkeys and a Shopping Trolley = Traditional Christmas

Happy New Year everyone!

Well its been a while since we last gave you an update, and it seems there is so much to tell and show for the time we spent before Christmas until our recent arrival in Vietnam. It was great to meet up with so many friends and family, especially over Christmas and new year. For over four months we saw no familiar faces then seemed to cram everyone in to a period of roughly three weeks! As you will know xmas day and boxing day was spent in Sydney with Christine. We then jetted up to Brisbane to see Conor's auntie, uncle and cousin on the gold coast of Australia and for the new year celebrations we had a whirlwind three day reunion with the Bannon family. We were treated so well by everyone and another big thank you to you all!

We arrived safely in Ho Chi Min City a few days ago where we spent a day resting to recover from all the partying, eating and drinking that was done over the festive period. Today we went to see the chu chi tunnels built by the Vietnamese soldiers during the American war and tomorrow we are off on a three day trip of the mekong delta. It's a hard life! We only have three weeks to see the best of Vietnam so need to move things along quite quickly. (I shall expand on how crazy Ho chi min city is and all that we have seen and done in Vietnam in a later blog entry) but it's a real buzz just being here, walking the streets, taking it all in and congratulating ourselves every time we successfully cross the crazy moped filled streets without getting killed.
