Sun, Sea and Sand!

It has taken me about 2 weeks to get round to writing about this as it's been madness here.

After about 2 weeks here we (Cherrie, Matt, Taylor, Harry, Jonte, Tilly, Shelly, Andrew, Lauren, Simeon, Abbey, Mitchel, Damo and Alysha) went to Manly for the weekend. We meet up with Andy and Kylie, Cherries friends and their 2 girls Grace and Chloe. The hotel (Novotel) was lovely, rooftop pool and amazing views of the beach.

Luckly enough there was a Jazz festival on because of the long weekend which meant lots of stalls selling all sorts, jewellery, cloths, werid and wonderful food and different craft stall. They were all lined up along the beach so we took a nice slow walk along the beach and spent some money! There was also a Rugby match (I can't remember which type) happening which was on all the big screens in the pubs, Sydney was playing so as you can imagine all the places were heaving and when ever they scored the whole street would roar in unison it was quite strange. I watched part of a game the day before (the different type, either league or

union i think) with Cherrie and its actually really good. You think someone is going to die beacuase they're so violent, but its interesting to watch.

We went out for dinner in a Baravian Resturant, I had no idea what it was, its a stereotypical German resturant, with girls in traditional dresses and boys in large white shirts and shorts. They looked rather cool, but I've never seen anything like it, I should have taken a picture of the bar as it had the glasses hanging from the ceiling and it served loads of German beers. The food was good and they had a lantern parade going past the door as well so Tay and I ran out to see it and it Chinese dragon type things going along.

We (Damo, Alysha, Tay and I) went to a Tai resturant which was really nice, but started a little strange as we didn't get any glasses on these small tin-foil, silver looking cups, they looked a lot like candle holders. The food was really good although Alysha underestimated just how spicy her food would be and ended up not being able to feel her face!

I can't feel my face!

the funniest evening! That was also my first time tasting Gilato!! Its sort of like icecream only creamer!!! I love it and at the end of my road (about 10minutes away) is a Gilato factory! Jackpot! They also have amazing flavours like burnt caramel (sounds weird- tastes amazing)

We had a run into the sea as well, it was clear blue and stunning, but still a bit cold. I've taken photos to show just how amazing.
