The sun was shining so we decided to head out to Sydney's famous Bondi Beach. The views did not disappoint, both natural and human (surfers and the famous lifeguards!!) And 3 hours were spent admiring them before Becky and Elin decided to venture into the sea. Unfortunately the waves were a little too exciting for them (Elin was struggling to keep her bikini on) and they drifted across to the surfing section and were told over the tannoy to move! oozing sophistication they moved along and continued to be bashed by the waves! Having enjoyed a whole afternoon of actual sunshine on a a beach (we thought this would never happen!) we returned to King's Cross and to our new hostel Great Aussie Backpackers to prepare for our first night out in Sydney! Having packed only the backpacking essentials Becky had minor issues as she was refused entry for wearing flipflops and not having ID. However after a quick change into some very attractive plimsoles (stunning with her dress) and with the help of some Brazilians Camilla's ID was smuggled out and we were reunited! The night was somewhat eventful and we awoke in the morning to discover our new room-mate!! Having had the luxury of triple rooms throughout Thailand the inevitable had happened and our 4-bed dorm was now full! Fortunately however our new room-mate wasn't the freak we had been dreading (we had been slightly scared by a strange looking man who was stealing whole loaves of bread and boxes of teabags at breakfast - and who we've just discovered is now behind us in the internet cafe watching porn!!) and we found 3 new friends!
