We came back from two weeks off. It wasnt easy. Im starting to get a bit sick of school like I normally do at home. The first day back I had a soccer game. it was a home game, our first game of the season. It was an intense game. We scored first in the first half off a beautiful goal and at the end of the half it was still 1-0. Then in the second half Sean had a PK which he missed miserably kicking way over the top and between the rugby poles. With about 7 minutes left the other team scored against us tying it up. Neither team could score until in literally the last 2 seconds Zack from our team broke away on sides to receive a cross and kicked it in the back of the net wining us the game.
Then it was regular ol school the rest of the week with not much exciting happening. Maya was training like a fiend all week for Nationals rock climbing and I just went to school and surfed. Surf has been a bit crap lately but hopfully it will get better soon. Schools been boring mostly. The
one class that I do really like is geography. We've been studying the lithosphere which can be quite interesting. I'm in extension maths which is the hardest you can take and I have to go to school early once a fortnight for an early class. Math is hard and confusing. I understand it but find it hard to remember. Physics we are studying electricity. This subject can be interesting too but the teacher has no control over the class and we mainly just mess around. English is the usual english class. Interpreting literature and reading Shakespear. Ancient history is a cool class. We just started the subject on ancient Rome. This is interesting as well but gets a bit tedious. On my free classes I go to the library and either do homework or watch southpark on the one site they didnt block.
On Monday we had soccer practice before school and then game after school. Our opponent, pitwater house wasnt all that great but we sunk to their level. At half time the score was 0-0 still and both teams had had several opportunities to score. We definitely were the better team though. We had several shots that
came off the posts or that were just to the side. Finally during the second half we scored. The game ended 4-0 us. After the game I walked to Jake's house and we hung out for a bit till Marti picked me up.
The next day, May 6th I celebrated my birthday. I stayed home from school and we all went out to breakfast at a place called the Healthy Chef. I got some really good coconut pancakes. They were delicious but quite rich and I failed in eating them all. After breakfast I headed out to Palm Beach for a surf. It wasn't anything special but you have to surf on your birthday right? The waves were small but surfable and I took out Richard's longboard. It was a super fun surf session. I caught some fun waves and attempted to walk the board a bit. After a little over an hour Marti came to pick me up. Maya then went for a bit of driver training around the car park. Between you and me she has a ways to go. That was a bit exciting. Marti got a bit stressed. When we got home I just hung

Not Much Has Changed out for a bit, opened a card from grandma, and then made a birthday pie. Apple blackberry. A few people came over and we ate mexican food and pie and watched a couple movies. Then it was off to bed.
I had to go to school the rest of the week because Marti wouldn't let me stay home anymore. Saturday I woke up at six and went to watch Maya climb at Nationals. It was pretty sweet to watch but since they only had three climbs to do it got old pretty fast. The guy climbers were really cool to watch. Connor still climbed even though he had sprained his ankle and had been on crutches for the last month. He had been training with one foot! That was real crazy to watch. Well anyways we watched for a bit then Richard and I decided it was time to go so we left and went for a surf at palmy. It was real small but fun. Towards the end though some spray hit my eyeball and my contact fell out. Not being able to see out of one eye and having horrible depth perception can really put a damper
on your surf session.
Sunday was mothers day. Maya and Marti went to the climbing gym for finals. I stayed home and hung out with Elise. The surf was really bad and I was bummed. Richard gave me a ride to Mona Vale and I got some groceries for Marti's mother's day dinner. I then all by my self prepared 3 dishes of enchiladas and an apple blackberry pie. I was seriously cooking for a solid couple of hours. The food turned out really good and we had a scrumptious dinner and dessert. Maya came out of the comp in 7th place which puts her on second reserve for the Australia team to compete internationally. Connor came 6th putting him at first reserve.
Yesterday I went to school. This week marked the first week for winter uniform. See the picture. Its a green blazer with a tie and a long sleeve white shirt. Quite formal. I feel all dresses up when I wear it. We have mid yearlies this week starting tomorrow. Not too excited about them. Not sure that I'll do so well. I cant remember all the stuff from the beginning of the year. Oh I got
my ten page history paper on neanderthals back. A- one of the higher grades of the class. Pretty stoked on that. The two tests that I'm worried about are the math tests. Yeah I have to do two math tests and they both are really hard. I can never remember all the formulas, rules, and proofs. It sucks. Well Ive got one of the math ones and an english one tomorrow so i should go study or sleep.
Had a soccer game yesterday. Tied 2-2. We played horribly in the first half and paid for it. Second half we dominated and brought the score to a tie.
