Well here it is the second instalment of our summer adventures. Hopefully these warm pics will chase the last of your winter weather away. This blogs musical accompanyment comes to us from the Godfather of Grunge. The Prophet of the Prairies. The Hippy from Cypress River. Canadian Classic Rock Icon, Neil Young. Open up another tab and cut and paste this link. Kick back, crack a cold one and enjoy the pics. Neil Young - Heart of Gold:
And congratulations to Teresa Crann who was our first blogger to recognized the fact that Gabriel and I occasionally dress the same. Not in a creepy, fading Hollywood-star kind of way but in a cool, subtle Sears catalog way. Your platypus is in the mail.
Donald, Michelle and Gabriel are headed across the globe for an Australian Adventure. Michelle has recently received a scholarship to persue her PhD in Education and we are making the move for a family experience. Join us on our travels and keep tabs on where we are and what we are doing!... full info
Aboriginal settlers arrived on the continent from Southeast Asia about 40,000 years before the first Europeans began exploration in the 17th century. No formal territorial claims were made until 1770, when Capt. James COOK took possession in the name...more info
The Eady Family CompoundIt is a fairly sparce campsite by Pine Island standards but it did the trick for us. Note our '93 Ford Falcon - the last of the V8 interceptors.
Sharknet BeachThis beautiful stretch was right in the town of Huskisson, on Jervis Bay, NSW. We could see the dolphins from the shore.
Relax!Michelle catches up on some summer reading while G looks on. I had just finished The Road by Cormac McCarthy
Gabe's LandspeederUsing some Lego and a few magnets G was able to build his own speeder. And then he rescued the princess, blew up the Deathstar, and saved the Universe.
Gabe's Landspeeder: Episode 2This was lots of fun till it broke off it's mooring. He lost control and flattened a village of Ewoks.
"Hello, I am C-3PO, human-cyborg relations."C-3PO, also spelled See-Threepio, also called Threepio for short, was a protocol droid, a droid specifically designed to interact with organics. C-3PO's TranLang III Communicator module combined with his AA-1 VerboBrain allowed him to be fluent in over six million forms of communication. He was also equipped with over thirty secondary functions. C-3PO was generally seen with his counterpart, R2-D2, a small, wheeled R2-series astromech droid. C-3PO's main function as a protocol droid was to assist with etiquette, customs, and translation so that meetings of different cultures ran smoothly. In his time, C-3PO loyally served over forty masters. He hated adventure and space travel, as they often resulted in him coming out on the wrong end of a fight, losing parts, and having them reattached, sometimes incorrectly. Together with his fellow droid R2-D2, C-3PO played a vital and pivotal role in galactic history, however lowly he thought of himself.
Dr. RobotoNext up for young Skywalker was a trip to the robot factory
Star Wars and Star Fish Don and Michelle, that was awesome! As you know I am a Star Wars (nerd) fan. I saw a similar show whilst traveling through Edinburough, Scotland. Don, no the cape is very slimming, Gabe, I could tell which one was the robot--great disguise, and thanks for the Platapus! Can't wait to get her/him. My cats will be thrilled!
And yes, the Sears Catalogue rocks! Can I have your autograph?
LOL!

Hi Guys! What great pictures. Simon loved the star wars and aquarium shots and only wanted to know when we'd be going there ourselves, prompting a short geography lesson. Missing you and happy to hear that you are lovin' your travels. They sound fantastic.
Hugs
