I have had problems with the travel blog page but all now seems to be fixed and we have already arrived home in WA but will carry on with the blog so everyone can catch up with where we have been on our travels home.
Taree - we left Coffs Harbour and stayed the first night at a lovely little caravan park in Taree which was right on the Dawson River - it was very high with flood water - then onto Allworth (1 hour north of Newcastle) to stay with John's niece and her family for a while - the day we arrived it had been raining for quite a few days and was still raining when we arrived. They had a spot set up for us on the block just outside the back of their property and we managed to find a small area which was not too muddy. Kathy took us for a drive to have a look around at some of the sites around the area and visited the Riverwood Downs resort where we had afternoon tea. Some very quaint towns around this area and all so very green. Notice how green it is around our camp site at the back of Kathy's house.

Sat 10 Mar - Chris took us for a trip in his boat for the day starting off on the Karuah River which is a very short stroll from their house, headed to the Tea Gardens for lunch then onto Nelson Bay which was beautiful, then a long boat ride to the beautiful lake at the Myall National park - the wind started to come up then so it was time to head back home. It was a beautiful day.

Sun 11 Mar - Did the tourist drive around Newcastle, checked out the heritage Baths at the Newcastle beach and had lunch at the Marina. Spent a couple of very interesting hours at the new Newcastle Museum (which was free).

We are Sue & John Barker and just starting our travels around Australia - starting from Gidgegannup (which we have sold) and will return to the property we bought in Mahogany Creek. When we left we headed north to see our son and his family in Geraldton then headed to Exmouth where we spent a wonderful couple of months with our grandchildren, their parents and some of the most beautiful scenery we have ever seen, the most pristine, the most beautiful beaches and the spectalular Humpback Whales frollicking with their young around the Exmouth Gulf. When the weather started getting too hot and ... full info
