Wollongong

We spent our first night in a motel in Wollongong of all places. We left home much later than anticipated and the rain was consistently heavy and we were all feeling a little stroppy as it had been such a big day (well big 2 weeks really - packing up house, packing car & trailer, working on car & trailer etc etc). Not to mention the mixed emotions of leaving "home" and saying goodbye to mum & dad, Shell, Tilly & Bohdi, Em & Benny who all waved us off. And our beloved dog, Chloe.. Amongst the feelings of sadness were also feelings of excitement, curiosity and intrigue as to just exactly what awaits us on "our big trip around Oz".
