St Georges Basin and the Blue Mountains

Hello everyone! In my third week here in the land of Aus, and it is more amazing each day! I spent 4 days in Jervis Bay with my new Friend Rosie at her beach house in St. Georges Basin. It was great and Rosie was a great tour guide! We went to tons of beaches and the national park there, visiting botanical gardens and little towns in the surrounding areas. Leaving there , I spent two days getting organized at her sisters house in a town called Gordon. Marissa and her family, Cody and little Freddie, were most gracious! I left there thursday and arrived in Katoomba at 7:30 that same night. Katoomba is by far my favorite stop yet! It is set in the center of the Blue mountains which is a World Heritage National Park...It is beautiful! It is similar to what Bellingham used to be before everyone moved there. A quite little mountain town with a cozy feel and a really great hostel. The park is huge and I spent 7 hours yesterday hiking the Prince Henry Cliff Walk trail with my new friend from the Netherlands, Petra. After that, I went down to the local pub and had beers and great conversation with a school teacher named Phil and his mate Mick. Phil is also staying at the hostel. This is exactly what I was hoping for...meeting up with interesting people and exploring new and amazing places! The only thing more I could ask for is that you all were here to experience it with me. Take care my friends, and I will update you again soon! Love, Nate. ;)

Nate, It is so good to hear that you are settling in. Great photos and the beach house sounds very cool. Great that you are making contacts. The houstel looks very comfortable. What does it cost per night? Send pics of the pub and your new best friends. Boy do I envy you. Perhaps you'll settle there and I will have to come down and inspect the accomodations.
As for the north west. We had some nice sunny days, then Oct 1st came and BAM! It got frickin cold. Other than that car biz bs is still the same.
Very cool that you are keeping up the blog. I think that every one really looks forward to the updates.
