Byron, Nimbin and the long ride to Sydney

Headed into town this afternoon and did some shopping. Shops in Byron are filled with everything you could possibly want, if what you want are leather wristbands and bracelets, long flowing hippy skirts or anything to do with surfing and the youth subcultures that surround such laid back lifestyles.

We were waiting for the bus back to our hostel so decided to go into Sharkys piercing and tattoo studio. Lauren got her nosed pierced and I got my ear pierced (again, honestly this is the last one mom promise ;)
Went to Cheeky Monkeys again tonight as it was my last night with the girls before they left for Sydney. Was yet another awesome night. I borrowed Kaths skirt which I was a little concerned was a bit short, but really shouldnt have worried about flashing to much flesh as all the barmaids were topless with flags painted across their breasts!!!(their mothers must be so proud!)

I pretty much saw everyone I had met so far down the coast and had a great East Coast Party Bash! it was brilliant! Met up with Ryan, Rob, Sam, Jack, Will and Matt. Nikoli P, Nikoli I, Bex, Liz and the 2 Vicki's and a couple of the Oz bus drivers too!

Called a taxi after getting absolutely soaked standing outside the club and after having some drunken whispers (so basically shouting to others about the nights events) we all fell into bed exhausted.

The girls left early this morning for Sydney. I met up with Bex and Liz this afternoon and went back to their hostel for tea and Tim Tams yum!

Finally a sunny day and perfect timing for my trip to the very small but unique village of Nimbin (google it and youll see what I mean). Spent the day visting some really special spots, some magical waterfalls and had a very informative driver guide. Did you know that if you removed the Great Dividing Range the whole of Australia would be green!! ooo and I even learnt how to throw a boomerang.

Off to Sydney today but not before I stopped at Arrawarra for a quick surf lesson. The sun was shining and the water was perfect I even managed to stand up (lets not talk about how long I stayed standing thats not important ;-)

Continued the long journey to Sydney so not much to say about today as most of it was spent snoozing on the bus. Arrived at my hostel at 5pm and Kath was waiting for me (was lovely to see a familiar face). Wake Up! Hostel is really really nice infact you can hardly call it a hostel is a definate Flashpackers. Played a few games of pool at the bar downstairs and Ryan and Rob showed up too so Kath and me headed to a club with them for the rest of the night didnt get back until 3.30am (i think im turning nocturnal lol).
