Well I'm sitting here in my room reading some travel blogs, glancing through brochures and surfing tourism websites. I'm not thinking of leaving until late September 2010, but I thought I would try my hand at a bit of blogging, and record the whole journey, from preparation of my trip around the world, right until I land back in the country.
I don't know what inspired my sudden desire to travel, as those that know me know that I was never one that wanted to travel. Maybe it was the fact that the photographer in me wanted to go out and do more landscapes other than just around my area. So it seems my eyes have been opened and I do want to see some of the world, so doing a whole lot of places in one trip seemed to be the way to go.
So far my plans to travel are this. Leaving from Sydney, to Singapore, then to Tokyo and around Japan. From Tokyo into Frankfurt, spend some time around Europe before heading over to London, England. From there to Dublin, spend a bit traveling around Ireland. Then over to Philadelphia, not that I was originally wanting to go there, but I have to fly through it, so I thought I may as well stop there. Then its off to New York before heading to Toronto and Niagra Falls area. Then to Calgary over in Canada and surrounding area, up through Banff and Jasper etc. Las Vegas after that (I mean how can you go to America and not go there). Then over to LA, even though I would have rather go to San Francisco, but that would put my world ticket in the next price bracket. New Zealand will be graced by my presence on my way home, hitting up Auckland, before heading to Christchurch and driving around the south island. Then back home to Australia.
So far I've started looking into what to do in Singapore, and I will keep this updated with my progress.
